We noticed that it was a big challenge to deliver the level and quality to the clubs and that they were actually well helped.
As KNVB – and actually as a total sports sector, all associations and NOC * NSF – we would like to support our clubs. These are all 25,000 sports associations in The Netherlands and we like to do that as well as possible.
In addition, it was also a challenge – once we had found the people – to deploy them in a practical, easy way with regard to laws and regulations regarding the hiring of people.
We noticed that it was a big challenge to deliver the level and quality to the clubs and that they were actually well helped. And that it also took us as unions a lot of time and energy to find, recruit and train people so that they could do the work in a good way.
We are a relatively small organization so we don’t have a 10-person department that can deal with hiring, contracts, etc. So to do that efficiently and effectively, we noticed that we could use outside expertise.
